Today was the first day.
We were called into the office for a introductory meeting at Sandhill Media Group. I learned very quickly that punctuality is essential to showing your intent as an intern. I met all the other interns and felt a real connection to everyone. We exchanged jokes and received feedback on our resumes. My resume was pretty polished and I felt very proud of my hard work beforehand. I’m very excited to work together and eager to start learning and working with everyone. I instantly felt at home in the fun and engaging atmosphere.
We discussed each of our individual career goals. I want to focus my internship on motion graphics and web design. I’m excited to get a jump start on that next week at our one-on-one meeting. I was also given my first design project for a company called Ridgeline Medical. They want to see some web ad options so I started on a few within the dimension my supervisor explained.
A great start to a great experience. I can feel it. <3
