Today I got a headstart on some magazine ads I was asked to create. It’s for the Idaho Falls best of Magazine and I was told to pick a radio station to advertise. I choose Arrow 107.1 because it’s my favorite radio station in the area. They play only oldies and greatest hits from the 80s, 90s, etc. The logo was difficult to work with because of the fonts and the colors. It’s a very patriotic brand. But I got a good start today. I tried to study 80s ads, but that wasn’t fitting enough with the logo and frankly it wasn’t bright or eye catching enough for the context of these ads. I searched for images of older forms of CDs and radios and found a few to use. Then I used the logo’s colors and style to create the other parts of the ad.
